Interesting how the bible illustrates the heart of a man of God. Take his letter as an example. Paul says "I press on to possess". He describes his heart as one who is in pursuit of the things of God. Just open the bible and start reading. You will find Abraham in Genesis "searching" for a land God is taking him. You will find the Israelites going after the promised land. Now turn to the New Testament of your bible and read Matthew chapter 13. This is the story of a merchantman "seeking & purchasing" a pearl of great price. Jesus used this story to illustrate what the Kingdom of God is like. The Kingdom of God is a people who "take possession" of the promises of God. There is so much to gain in Christ!
