Paul said this (21)If you have really heard his voice and learned from him the truths concerning himself, 22 then throw off your old evil nature-the old you that was a partner in your evil ways-rotten through and through, full of lust and sham.
In other words, ”If u have learned Christ the proof of that is throwing off the old u”. The act of "throwing off" says a lot about your faith in Christ. Seeing someone “throw-off” something that is a potential threat to their faith tells me they are serious about living for God. That they want Christ to live within them We throw-off the old life because we have learned of a new life in Christ. Unlearning is a part of the learning process. We are called to learn Christ and to unlearn our old sinful nature.
