We may not be appreciating this as much as we should. We can’t survive life without covenant bonds of relationship with fellow believers...especially those who become our friends. I really do feel sorry for the friendless. The person who cannot point to one single person as a close friend. I feel sorry for those who break covenant relationally with the church, not realizing the severity of what they are doing. [Ecclesiastes 4:9-10] TWO ARE BETTER THAN ONE, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, ONE WILL LIFT UP HIS COMPANION. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, FOR HE HAS NO ONE TO HELP HIM UP.” Friendship, brotherhood, covenant relationship with fellow believers are not just a convenience to be discarded when we are no longer pleased...but A NECESSITY THAT GOD HAS PROVIDED FOR OUR SURVIVAL. Friendship is worth investing in and doing all we can to preserve. You will not survive life without friends. “WOE TO HIM WHO IS ALONE WHEN HE FALLS”....WOE?...YES, WOE! Trouble will come and you’ll need someone to talk to, rescue you, and help you pick up the pieces when you fail, fall short, or experience setbacks, failure, and adversity. [Proverbs 17:17] “A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.” I am very grateful for friends and the brethren who make up the church. They are God’s provision to help fulfill God’s purpose in our lives. We should also consider; How good of a friend are we? Can we be counted on? Are we dependable, present and available when needed? These are all important matters to consider. Remember, TWO ARE BETTER THAT ONE...ALWAYS VALUE AND APPRECIATE THE FRIENDS YOU HAVE!
