Pay Attention

PAY ATTENTION! This is especially difficult today. Many, many distractions.[Proverbs 5:1] “My son, PAY ATTENTION to my wisdom; LEND YOUR EAR to my understanding...” Truth and revelation are not going to be deposited in your life automatically. YOU HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE PRESENTATION OF TRUTH. Whether it’s read directly from the Bible or preached from the pulpit. It requires the discipline of focus, paying attention, and concentrating on what you are hearing or reading. We all have to LEARN to listen and read with the intention of hearing from God. THAT IS HOW HE HAS CHOSEN TO SPEAK INTO OUR LIVES. Our ears are lent to all kinds of things...we’re plugged into our devices, we’re listening to all the noise coming from our own heads...WE NEED TO TAKE TIME TO LEND OUR EARS TO THE WORD OF GOD. If you will make this your daily habit, it will change your life. PAY ATTENTION, LEND YOUR EAR is the admonition of King Solomon, and it is a worthy one. When you read your Bible today...PAY ATTENTION to what God is saying through His word in your heart. Next time you're in church...FOCUS on the preaching of God’s word, stop allowing yourself to be distracted. Your prayer should be as you prepare to come to church, ‘Lord speak, my heart belongs to you, I’m going to focus on the message and make sure it finds a place to land in my life. So next time you read the Bible or listen to a sermon...MAKE SURE YOU ARE PAYING ATTENTION! Your life and future depend on it.
