Overcoming Disappointment

Definition: Sadness or displeasure caused by the non-fulfillment of one's hopes or expectations. This happens...and it happens often. Not everything works out the way we anticipate. Disappointment tests the quality of our hearts and attitudes. Can we maintain the victory in the face of disappointment? Can we maintain faith, hope and confidence in God’s grace, favor and will? Probably in some way you will experience disappointment today. Don’t allow it to foster and attitude that is not of God. It’s your job to maintain a right heart despite the disappointments of life. [Proverbs 4:23] “Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” Don’t view every disappointment as a negative but as an opportunity of maintain a right heart, overcome, rise above and continue to glorify God. As they say; ‘roll with the punches’ today. ...and at the end of the day be grateful for all that God has done and is doing.
