DON’T BE SO STUBBORN! That needs to be told us from time to time, simply because WE CAN BE SO STUBBORN and that is not a good attribute. It can frustrate our relationships and be a great hinderance to our walk with God. The word means to be firm or obstinate in the wrong direction. We can be that. A stubborn insistence on a way that is not right. So we have to consider this because stubbornness is deceptive. We are convinced we are right and we try and force it on others and refuse to be convinced otherwise. [Psalms 81:11-12] “But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.” That’s what can happen. If you insist on your own wrong way and won’t listen, that’s what you end up with, along with the consequences. The attribute that we need in life is FLEXIBILITY and along with that the ability to LISTEN. Sometimes we aren’t flexible and don’t listen, and of course, our own pride can get in the way. I can write about this because I’ve been there. Give consideration to this today. It may be that your stubbornness is getting in the way of your relationships, it can undermine a marriage and it can rob you of God’s perfect will for your life. DON’T BE SO STUBBORN, IT ISN’T WORTH THE PRICE YOU’LL PAY. [Proverbs 3:6] “In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”
