DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?... I mean do you REALLY have what it takes?! Today, all around the world Christians are being persecuted and martyred for their faith in Jesus Christ. 40% of the countries of the world have either social or governmental restrictions on Believers. This is not only Middle Eastern and Muslim countries but more and more we’re seeing it in the West. Western Europe has become a bastion of Anti-Christian sentiment. Russia, where there is a vibrant church growing, recently banned evangelism. Believers are continuing to witness despite the risk. In the most extreme cases, it is estimated, that 10’s of thousands of believers are being killed annually. So, back to my question; DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?...Do you REALLY have what it takes to give your life, if necessary, for your faith in Jesus Christ? Here in America, we have it very soft. We can barely grasp the concept of persecution. We have so much support and freedom to serve God without any restriction. Yes, there’s the odd reproach we have to endure, perhaps at school, work, or with our families but for the most part, it’s minimal. Many Christians today can’t even be faithful to their church, make themselves available for ministry, be a faithful witness for Jesus Christ, and put Him first in all things. We become so used to compromise, that it becomes a way of life. Take time today to examine your heart and honestly ask the question, DO I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?! We have a heritage of believers, beginning with John the Baptist, all of Jesus’ disciples save one, the Apostle Paul, the heroes listed in Hebrews 11 who, for the love of God gave their lives. [Hebrews 11:13] “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. [Revelation 12:11] “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Do you REALLY have what it takes?!
